What is FootGolf?
Thanks for asking.
FootGolf is a fun hybrid of soccer and golf.
Players kick a soccer ball at oversized cups
and like golf
try to do it in as few shots (kicks) as possible.
It is played right on the golf course.

Won't it interfere with 'real' golf?
No.
Participants are expected to play at a pace of play
that 'all golfers' are asked to meet.
The participants of FootGolf will be reserving tee-times
just like our other golfers
and they will be expected to keep pace
with the group ahead of them.
The FootGolf course will only be available
at 'lesser-desired' times and will probably not
be available on weekend/holiday mornings.
Won't it damage the course?
No.
The FootGolf holes are positioned around the course
so as to utilize the fairways
and some of each hole's hazards
and still avoid the precious greens
that traditional golfers treasure like Faberge Eggs.
Also, when the FootGolf course is not open for play,
the oversized holes have specially designed covers
to accommodate traditional golf play
without interference.
Every FootGolf hole will be marked
to allow traditional golfers
a free drop away from any interference
that may occur from the FootGolf layout.
Finally, the FootGolf course will require
additional mowing from our greenskeepers
in the 'rough' areas of the course.
We have never heard anyone complain
that they wished we hadn't mowed down
a little more rough.
No.

Won't it mean more kids and non-golfers at the course?
Yes,
if we did it right.
So...unclench your butt cheeks
it will all be fine.
Need more information???
Give us a buzz...we'll make something up!

I thought "foot golf" was when an iron shot wasn't an option! Like when the beer cart tire is sitting on your ball (ouch) or when that darn squirrel thought your ball was a nut, you get off the cart and chase the squirrel to get your nut, I mean ball back and you chased the critter on your golf feet... I'm so confused!
ReplyDeleteTrue Dat, UBAD!
DeleteYou shouldn't have squirrels in your lap...that is just crazy!
I'm glad you are taking the lead on bringing some "fun" and youth back onto a golf course!
ReplyDeleteNo thanks.....
ReplyDeleteHey, that was strangely phunny!
DeleteSo so excited for Foot Golf. See you in April!
